Susan Tifft
Susan Tifft died in April 2010. She had been a teacher, author and reporter. After learning she had cancer in 2007, Ms. Tifft kept a blog reporting on her illness and treatment. In her last entry, March 24th, she wrote, “Final advice? Always do the right thing. It will gratify your friends and enrage your enemies.” With her husband, Alex Jones, she was author of widely acclaimed books on journalism dynasties at the Louisville Courier and the New York Times. Here are New York Times and Boston Globe obits of Ms. Tifft.
