Gene Weingarten is a humor writer for The Washington Post. His column, "Below the Beltway," appears in the Post Sunday Magazine. He has written two books: "The Hypochondriac's Guide to Life.  And Death," (1998) and "I'm With Stupid -- One Man, One Woman, 10,000 Years of Misunderstanding Between the sexes cleared Right Up."   This last is written with Gina Barreca. Weingarten was a 1988 Nieman Fellow.
