Maud Beelman is a deputy managing editor at The Dallas Morning News, where she directs a team of investigative and special projects reporters. Her team’s investigations have won numerous national and state journalism awards and focus on holding public institutions and officials accountable. Prior to joining The News in 2004, Beelman was the founding director of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists at the Center for Public Integrity, a global network of the world’s leading journalists that produces cross-border investigations. Beelman is a former foreign correspondent for The Associated Press and an Alicia Patterson Foundation fellow.
